Stockholm….knows how to travel in style.

I heard that Montreal is getting some new subway cars by the end of 2012…(if we are all still around to enjoy them)… and it got me to googling some different transit systems all over the world ( yes I am a nerd)

I Came across these pics of a some subway stations in Stockholm, Sweden and all I can say is, wow!…. It seriously would brighten up my day to wait for my train in one of these epic stations. Some of them look like a page right out of the Chronicles of Narnia..

Wu-Rice

Just moved into a new apartment on the east side of Montreal recently and I am just settling myself in now. You know when you first move and you have like one pot, a knife, and whatever bag of lentils or rice you happened to throw in the box with your computer stuff??

Yeah, well…last night at like 2 in the morning I was scrounging for some munch after all the stores were closed. After checking every box all I could find lying around was some organic rice, a bit of sea salt, a lime, curry powder and some tumeric?? lol! So I cooked her up, gave it my whole heart with each stir and prepared to eat an entire plate of yellow rice.  Well…after it was all done and sitting there in front of me it looked o.k…..but something was missing.. So I stopped, meditated for a bit, and then in flash of euphoric sublime  realization I knew…….”AHA!!”

It needed more WU!

Have you heard of Hummel?

Originally established 1923,  Hummel was a Danish sportswear shoe company which crafted high performance Racket Ball and Football shoes. Considering they’ve been makin em since 1923, this company ain’t a new kid on the block and has totally kept the quality going strong!  Recently, they released a line of urban/streetwear shoes. I just picked up a pair of these guys and I’m super impressed. Slick design, durable as hell, the soles are actually real rubber…whoa. I like em cause they are a high top shoe that look super stylish but they aren’t over done and could be worn to a hip -hop show or (if you get the black ones)even to dinner with that special lady friend…I know, cuz I’ve done it! If you see me around Montreal in the next few days I’ll be sportin these guys:

Mixtape Time!! Big Sean, J Cole, and Mr.West

So if you havent already checked it yet Big Sean just released his “Finally Famous V.3″ and I must say it’s pretty dope. A lot of people are saying he ripped his style from Drake and then you have those who say Drake ripped from Big SEan but I just don’t care…this young rap prodigy got lines! Laid back fluent flow, full of rythm and enough humilty to keep you listening and not vomit because you’ve heard the words “Patron” and “Best Rapper” 100 times in the first 60 seconds.

With his seamless mix of half sung choruses and tight versus you can’t help but wanna be this guy’s friend…”C’mon Big Sean, let’s get out of here cuz we too real to be livin this fake”

Also check J-Cole’s Friday Nigth Lights….it’s old now…like November, but I’m still bumpin this. J Cole is like a breathe of fresh air for Hip Hop…ahhhhhh..feel those fresh clever, and confident rhymes fill your lungs!!

And Last but not least, 68 of Kanye’s greatest and more get compiled by Toronto’s DJ M-rock! Whew! This is like an all you can eat for Kanye lovers…and even if your a hater there a few of those old gems on there to remind you why Kanye is where he is today! Quality listening!
